About E.A. Woods
Welcome… I am E. A. Woods, a soon-to-be author. I guess you should know a little bit about me. I am an avid reader.
My favorite books are: The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, And Then There Were None, Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr. I highly recommend these books to most of my fans. The Hunger Games and Catching Fire are too mature for most kids age 12 and younger. You may be like me and be mature enough to read those, but I just think they were really powerful. Even older readers might not like it. Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr are okay for most kids. That doesn’t mean you should make a third or second grader read it. Fourth grade and up should be able to handle it just fine. And Then There Were None is an Agatha Christie book so it is a mystery where people die but it isn’t bloody or gory. I really loved that one. So now you know the books I enjoy reading.
I want to tell you a bit about myself. Since I was seven, I have had dreams of becoming an author. Not because of fame or fortune. Writing was (and still is) like my own little sanctuary. If I got in a fight with a friend, my parents were mad at me, or my sister was being mean to me, I would always turn to writing. It is amazing having that feeling that you are in total control of what you do and how you do it. Growing up, I didn’t have any friends. Recess was painful. But now, since I have started writing, it seems like I am a magnet attracting friends every day. If you ask my closest friends about me, they might say I am fun to be with and very imaginative. If you asked me about them, I’d say the same. Remember, a few great friends are better than a few hundred good friends.
Now, on to other things… I absolutely love most of every type of food in the world. I like Chinese, Korean, Indian, Thai, Italian, Hawaiian, American (of course), and anything else you can name. It doesn’t mean I will eat all the foods from that culture. Seafood and sushi… I don’t know what to say. They are one of my favorite foods. But, when the guy at the sushi bar asks if I want monkey liver, I think I might have to turn him down. No joke, this actually happened.
So, I am going to start wrapping this up. I have pretty much gone through the list: favorite books, foods, friends, writing… Looks like I have done all that. Now for the “dedication.”
I have to thank Ian Ray, the awesome guy who put this site up. Thanks Ian! Also, my family has been a great help; my dad and Ian add to my website, my sister listens to my stories and gives me feedback, my mom and grandma check for errors, and my grandpa drives everywhere in the world to get stuff for me (you are the best Papa!). The rest of my family supports me by reading my stories and posting on my blog. You guys are great! Did I also mention my Aunt Adele? My Aunt Adele is the COOLEST! Trust me; she is one of my idols. She writes and draws and raps! This shout-out is for you Aunt Adele! Thanks for being funny, smart, beautiful, and positively great. Oh, and tell Franny I said hi!
Well, write ya’ later! -E.A. Woods
